File copied to Debriefing folder, Yahoo group. Great fun - shot the first two games, managed to not get killed in either. Winning side both times. Game one was a capture the bridge scenario, where we had 30 minutes to take the other team's position - a 3 foot wide bridge, no hand rails, spanning a 20 or 30 foot mostly dry creek bed. The creek was littered with dead tree limbs and about 8 feet below the bridge itself. Heavy woods either side. I ended up in the rear assault force - we bypassed the only known trails to the bridge and struck out across country hoping to find a back door. 20 minutes of rough trail blazing and one lone sentry later we found the trail past the bridge. I managed to go from second position to last by getting my clumsy butt tangled in thorny vines, so I missed most of the firefight. In the end, bridge was ours with less than a minute of game play left. I understand the fighting on the bridge itself was intense, back at our position, we had some zingers fly by but no casualties. Game two was a capture the flag, also at the bridge. Each team went about 100 yards down opposite creek beds and waited for the signal. All hell broke loose as we tried to get a little yellow plastic thing off the bridge and back to our starting point. With the bridge located in a natural creek bend, we were shooting down stream and across wooded land with opponents crawling around both. I think we were down to 4 people on our side and two on theirs when our side got the target and hauled ass - I was laying down cover fire since my ass is not “haul able”. My ride and I had to book out after that, but a downed pilot scenario was just starting when we left. Sounded like more fun, but obligations out way fun. We had to leave. Mad Ivan once again provided paint and air as well as referees, chronography, and marker repairs. In all I think well over 30 people showed up. Bill "Bastitch" Burks Venus, Texas
